Are You Vaccinated?

The flu is a serious disease that causes fever, chills, cough, and breathing difficulties. In addition to these symptoms, becoming infected with the flu leaves patients at risk for hospitalization, pneumonia, and even death. Fortunately, receiving a flu immunization from your doctor can prevent these complications. The CDC recommends that all people 6 months and older receive a flu immunization every year to protect them from contracting the disease. Last flu season, 30% of eligible patients received their flu immunization from Liberty Doctors d/b/a Tiffany Pediatrics. Our goal is to vaccinate all of our patients to help them, their families, and our community stay healthy. Please stay in touch with your child’s provider to find out when flu immunizations will be available in our office.

Reviewing Your Medication with your Doctor

There are many medications that can have unpredictable or dangerous effects when taken together. For this reason, it is important to tell your child’s doctor all of the medications they are taking, including any over the counter drugs or herbal supplements. We are pleased that between January 2017 and March 2017 94% of patients seen at Liberty Doctors d/b/a Tiffany Pediatrics had their medications reviewed with their provider. If you do not know or are uncertain if your child’s doctor is aware of all of their medications, please bring a detailed list to their next appointment.
